Red comes alive during the holidays, don’t you agree? Red stockings, red ribbons, red nails and even red coffee cups. And of course, we can’t forget the jolly, white-bearded man in his red suit! Because red is undeniably famous during this time of year, we feel that green takes the back burner. And for this reason, we’ve chosen to place green as the focal point for our holiday table setting this year. Going green meant choosing rustic elements and pairing these two is just what we did. Enjoy a rustic, minimalist and cozy tablescape perfect for the holidays, especially if you are the one hosting this year!

Combining browns with greens and hues of metallics and whites, this holiday table setting brings the cool tones that winter has to offer. Keeping it minimal was the objective, but we still wanted to portray fun and so we added large, patterned yet whimsical wine glasses from Mikasa. Afterall, the holidays are meant for gathering, unwinding and partying right?

Here’s a great shot of the holiday table setting in its entirety. The plant and Christmas tree in the background create great depth for pictures, comfort and warmth for your guests as well as additional Christmas decorations for around the house. Cologne Acacia from Structube is the wood dining table along with the bench which both make it perfect for the theme. If you don’t want benches as your seating, you can always opt for Vineyard or Louis Rattan chairs for a rustic look. Let’s now take a closer look at the table setting decor details.

Without going Christmas overboard, we chose this subtle white snowflake dinnerware set from Pier 1 Imports as we loved the unique edging and of course, the imprinted design of a snowflake. For the table’s centrepiece, we purchased a pine bouquet from a farmer’s market and absolutely fell in love with the metallic stand. Matching the unique metallic stand, we opted for silver cutlery for consistency. To complete the look, we purchased the linens and additional decor accessories such as the glittered wood spheres and gold candles from Pier 1 Imports as well. It was important to ensure the table napkins were green to bring the full look of the holiday tablescape together.

With the holidays quickly approaching, there is still time to put together a fun holiday tablescape. We hope the one we’ve styled above inspires anyone scrambling at the last minute. It’s a combination of rustic and chic – modern, but still with subtle hints of the holidays.
